Mentoring

The Insight Meditation Cleveland mentoring program matches meditators with experienced practitioners (mentors). Mentors give guidance and instruction on meditation techniques and tools to help establish, maintain or deepen a daily meditation practice. Mentoring is appropriate for meditators of all levels and experience. Attendance at an IMC in-person or online sitting group is recommended. The program is free.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

In consideration for being able to attend IMC Activities in person or via electronic link, I hereby agree to the following (the Waiver):

I voluntarily agree to participate in IMC Activities and assume all risks of doing so. If I have any concern about my ability to safely participate in any IMC Activity, I will refrain from doing so. I understand there may be unanticipated risks during such activities and I hereby assume all risks of injury to me and my property, of any nature whatsoever, which may be sustained in connection with IMC Activities.

I hereby release IMC, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, or volunteers, (collectively, the IMC Parties) of and from all actions, claims or demands that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, and legal representatives now have or may hereafter have for injury or damage resulting from my participation in IMC Activities.

I understand that IMC does not engage in or provide any medical care, including without limitation, mental health services, and that no IMC Activity is intended to diagnose or treat any condition or illness.

In the event an IMC Party determines that I may need professional medical attention, I agree that IMC has the authority and discretion to contact 9-1-1 emergency services and to provide my contact information to said entities. Any costs incurred for health services are solely my responsibility and not the responsibility of IMC.

I understand that participation in IMC Activities is at the sole discretion of IMC at all times and I may be asked to leave any Activity at the sole discretion of IMC.

I acknowledge and agree that I am responsible for all of my personal property during any IMC Activity and that the IMC Parties are not responsible in any way for such property whether it is lost, stolen, or damaged.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. The venue for any legal action shall be the state or federal courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

I have read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I sign it of my own free will and agree to all terms. I am above the age of 18 and accept this Waiver.
