The idea of “rebirth” has made its way from Buddhist philosophy into the common vernacular in recent years. While it was challenging enough to work with this idea as a Buddhist concept, it is more confusing with a variety of additional meanings added through the common vernacular.

In this retreat, we will explore the idea of rebirth and how it can be useful in our lives to help alleviate dukkha. The retreat will include grounding practices of concentration meditation and walking meditation, a dharma talk on rebirth, and meditation practices that help us work with the idea of rebirth as a way to reduce dukkha in our lives.

Registration

In keeping with ancient tradition, the teachings of the Buddha are offered freely—the teachers receive no compensation from IM Cleveland for teaching, but rely on dana (generosity) of their students. At retreat’s end, students have an opportunity to practice dana by offering contributions to the teacher.
